Phil Aslangul studied at the Guildhall school of music and had further conducting lessons with Peter Stark. He has conducted a huge breadth of orchestral music as well as working with operatic societies  and in youth music.

In  2016 he conducted one of the hundred live orchestral screenings of Laura Rossi’s  ‘The Battle of the Somme’ to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the event. He has performed at all the major London venues and conducted a variety of orchestras including most recently  South East London Orchestra.

Philip has conducted across much of Europe, including music festivals in Salzburg and Lisbon and has engagements in Belgium in 2024.

He has worked as an ABRSM examiner for over 20 years having also worked for Trinity College as a Music Mentor.
